You are bidding on one iron or blade or cutter for a Stanley No 151 or No 152 or similar wood spokeshave as pictured. I am listing several very similar 151 irons, so for clarity I am calling this one reference letter C. It is marked with the STANLEY notched rectangle logo and “MADE IN USA” below that.Width at the lower edge is a hair over 2-1/8″. Overall length is about 1-7/8″, and there is about a hair over 1/2″ between the sharp edge and the center hole. Condition is very good, with some faint patina (color). It appears to have seen very little use, and the beveled edge appears to be the factory grind. SHIPPING: Under 1 pound, shipped in a padded envelope, shipped US Postal Service Ground Advantage, insurance is included. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it’s not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20″ long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30″ long, because those longer packages won’t fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item.
